ONTARIO Accepting Applications
Great news for those who are planning to apply under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). After realizing the success and importance of OINP to Ontario’s economy, the federal government has reopened the application system. The provinces allocation has been increased by 600 nominations to a total of 6,600.
You can now submit your application under OINP program for the following streams:
- Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
- Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
- Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream
- Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream
- Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
- Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trade Stream
- Entrepreneur Stream
- Corporate Stream
The link to the OINP e-Filing portal can be found on each stream webpage. You should access the OINP e-Filing portal directly from OINP website to apply under your preferred stream.
Remember that the allocation of Ontario’s federal nomination is limited. The OINP is monitoring the application intake and will inform you when it will no longer accept applications via the updates webpage.
As a result of the Proclamation of the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015, some criteria and processes have changed on January 1, 2018. So, before you apply, refer to the recently updated Application Guides and review it carefully to find out whether you meet all stream criteria.
Applicants who qualify for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream, issuing of Notifications of Interest (NOIs) will be resumed for them.
If you are planning to apply for the Masters Graduate and Ph.D. Graduate Streams, monitor the program updates page regularly to know about when the OINP will start accepting applications.
