New Brunswick PNP Update February 2018: If you want to be a permanent resident in New Brunswick, please note that your Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the PNP Express Entry Labour Market Stream will only be accepted if you are currently employed in New Brunswick or you are a potential candidate who exhibits French as a first language, which is proven by a Test d’évaluation de français (TEF). Besides, you must have experience in one of the following occupations:
- Information systems analysts and consultants (2171)
- Computer network technician (2281)
- Software engineers and designers (2173)
- Database analysts and data administrators (2172)
- Cooks (6322)
- Managers in health care (0311)
- Restaurant and food service managers (0631)
- Retail sales supervisors (6211)
- Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (1311)
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers (2174)
What is Express Entry?
Introduced by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada in January 2015, Express Entry is a new online application management system that is going to change Canada’s immigration process for something better. It will make the immigration process faster and more responsive to Canada’s particular economic and labor market needs.
The newly developed Express Entry Labour Market Stream (EELMS) will use the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) use CIC’s Express Entry system so that it can meet the province’s certain labour market and demographic needs.
To become a permanent resident, the NBPNP Express Entry steps are:

2 | After meeting the above requirements, you must review the Eligibility Requirements to Submit an EOI page on the website |
3 | Then you need to send your EOI to the NBPNP Express Entry mailbox at entree.express.entry@gnb.ca. |
4 | After you receive an invitation to apply, you must submit a full EELMS application to the NBPNP within 60 calendar days. |
5 | Once your application is successful and you have been nominated, you must accept your nomination electronically through your MyCIC Account within 30 days. |
Once you’ve successfully completed the EOI form, you must complete a recognized language exam, such as IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF. Besides, you must complete a mandatory educational credential assessment (ECA). Remember, an access to the appropriate amount of settlement fund is a must if you are submitting an EOI but do not have an arranged employment offer. Besides, to describe your primary occupation, you must have to identify the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) code.
